Actor Katherine Heigl is opening herself about her experience of being born into an environment that was a "white bubble" and how this realization has affected how she raises her multiracial adopted children. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress revealed in an interview recently that she was told that when it came to skin tone, it didn't matter to her what she wore however, after speaking to her older sister, who was taken in to South Korea, she realized that society was different when it came to each of the two. Meg was asked if she was treated differently in the times they went out with their parents and then in the case of going out on their own. She replied "Oh I do, each and every moment!" Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had made me feel." The actress said that she was frustrated, but decided to channel that energy to aid the adopted children she has. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4. married for 13 years. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide, 8 who is Black and was adopted in 2012.
